artfight 2024
Woo, I ended up joining ArtFight this year! I've heard about it in the past, but this is the first time I actually took the plunge. It's (pretty much) over at this point, but here's my profile, anyway. ^^ [Click on the thumbnails to view the full image!]
Hakispend's drider, Cobitha. I just think driders are really cool, so I wanted to squeeze one in before the end of the month. ^^
Capy / hardmachine's character, Sparkler. Her fashion style stood out to me and I really wanted to draw this outfit in particular!
Arachne / strawberryreverie's character, Iris. I really love her forest guardian vibe; made me think of a nymph-y / classical sort of thing, so I drew her like a classical statue.
Sephiria's character, Silvery SnowStar. Half traditional, half digital. Definitely had to break out the glitter gel pens for this one! I originally had a lighter background, but changed it at the last second -- now I'm wondering if less contrast would fit the vibe better?
Cafecat's traveling baker. There's not much information up about them, but I just thought it was a cute design. It wasn't until after I posted it that I realized they might be a cat, rather than a dog? I'm really not sure, rip, but I think the painting came out really well, actually! Especially since this was my first real attempt at drawing an anthro sort of character, even if it might be the wrong species...
Milky belongs to Lapin, of course! Such a cutie!
One of zyuna's sets of dessert hamsters. They made me think of a bobsledding team for some reason and it kinda just snowballed from there.
Amy / AngelEyeSprings' character, Angie. I really do love blue-haired red-eyed characters, so, of course I had to draw her!
I think it'd probably be weird to upload the defenses I got here, but I just wanted to say thank you and that I really appreciate all of them! And I'm glad to spread a bit of love for bug girls out there! <3
